Prohibited word use reseting password

My Blueyonder e-mail, which has been working fine for years, just stopped accepting my password.

I have received no communication from Virgin Media stating that it is time to reset my password or providing any other explanation for this.

I tried to reset my password, and I continually get the "Prohibited Word used" for every password I try.

Whoever designed this reset interface needs to go back to college and learn about user interface design and user experience. At no point is any advice given as to what a password should be. I have tried all manner of combinations based on other posts on this forum.

Yes, my password starts with a letter (not documented anywhere on the form).
Yes, I have an uppercase and a lowercase letter.
Yes, I have a number.
Yes, it is between 8 and 64 characters.
No, it does not contain any easy-to-guess words.
No, it is not a reused password.

Somebody explain how ANYBODY is supposed to reset their password using an interface like this?

    Sorry to hear of your concerns with resetting your password for your email. 
    Just to confirm, do you have an active Virgin Media broadband account with us? If so, was this blueyonder email linked to the account?

      Yes, I have an active Virgin Media broadband account and the Blueyonder account, which had been working fine until Tuesday, is linked to this.

      I have now resolved the problem by using a Google-generated password, which was finally accepted by this ridiculous password manager system. I can see no reason why the Google password is accepted, but all of the passwords I tried were rejected. Somebody should really review and redesign this interface (I can see from other forum posts that I am not the only person experiencing this frustration).

      Since I assume this problem will arise again at some point in the future, I have carefully documented the process I had to go through to reset the password on my Virgin Media account and then to reset the email password (which is also completely unintuitive).
