NTLWorld email deactivation request

I have recently become the victim of a data breach where my passwords for many of my online accounts were leaked on the dark web. Yesterday I lost access to my NTLWorld email account which I have been using as my main email address for many years. After browsing this forum I have become aware that VM are now deactivating orphaned NTLWorld email accounts. I would like to confirm that my loss of access is due to the account being deactivated and not the account being compromised. If it has not been deactivated I would like to request that it is as I no longer have access. Please can someone advise.
