Blueyonder email hacked/not working
Hi. I’m a longstanding virgin broadband customer and many years ago I set-up blueyonder mailboxes for me and my wife. We believe my wife’s email has been hacked as it has been used to access other apps and sites and as of yesterday the email is no longer accessible as imap password is no longer recognised. My wife has never had a virgin media account (as far as we can remember) as the broadband account is in my name. When we have tried to register an account so she can manage her email account we can’t get in as we don’t recognise the email that the link is sent to - we assume this email has been changed by the hackers. All in all it is very confusing to work out what steps to take and we would appreciate support from your tech/fraud teams to regain access to the mailbox and ideally shut it down as it is compromised. Can someone please reach out and explain the best next steps we should take.51Views0likes1CommentHacked email account
My sons email account was hacked on 7th November. I've logged the problem with Virgin but I'm continually getting fobbed off with 'the team are still investigating the issue'. Meanwhilke the hackers are still in the account trying to reset passwords on all his accounts and ordering goods. I've reset the password 3 times but that does not kick the hackers out of a 3rd party email app. Virgin have promised to call me numerous times and not once have they done so. I've spent over 12 hours on the phone to Virgin and feel like I am getting nowhere. They don't even have the correct fault details in my complaint. I just can't get them to understand what the problem is despite explaining it every time I phone up. I think my next step may have to be the ombudsman. Can anybody on here help?Solved151Views0likes8CommentsMy blueyonder email accounts have been hacked
Someone hacked my blueyonder address and used it to buy stuff from my Amazon account last week. When I tried to log in on line my password didn't work, and the verification code sent to a rogue email account that was not mine! So they have control of my email account! I spent 3 days on the phone to Vm explaining and attempting to log in with no success. Finally they said this was with their fraud team and technical team and I should leave it to them to sort. They said it may take 3-5 days, that was over 1 week ago, I haven't heard anything. Not sure what I should do and how to resolve this, any ideas?48Views0likes1CommentNTLWorld email deactivation request
I have recently become the victim of a data breach where my passwords for many of my online accounts were leaked on the dark web. Yesterday I lost access to my NTLWorld email account which I have been using as my main email address for many years. After browsing this forum I have become aware that VM are now deactivating orphaned NTLWorld email accounts. I would like to confirm that my loss of access is due to the account being deactivated and not the account being compromised. If it has not been deactivated I would like to request that it is as I no longer have access. Please can someone advise.50Views0likes1CommentHelp. My 91yr old Mother’s VM email and account hacked
Help. I discovered yesterday that my mother’s virginmedia email account hadn’t received any emails since about August, and her sent emails were sat in an unsent folder on her iPad. On trying to log in to both her email account and VM account in a browser on a different device that someone has registered a totally different email address with her Virgin Media account and as such she cannot access email. She is 91 (and my father who is deaf is 92) and relies on the VM email account for energy supplier readings and medical bookings. Thankfully they do not do any financial transactions or e-commerce. She urgently needs her VM email access and VM account resetting. She is still in receipt of her Broadband & TV package and Direct Debits have continued to be paid. I have Lasting Power Of Attorney over her, but so far (due to her physical and mental independence and general good health) have not lodged it with VM (or any service provider or financial institution). Also how would I get that LPA lodged with VM so I can deal with any future issues. TIASolved16KViews0likes1CommentNtlworld email password change
Hello, I am trying to reset my email password - I have continued to use my original @ntlworld.com email from way back and have only ever had access to this email address through the Apple Mail app on my iPhone. Unfortunately, there was some kind of hacking incident and I really need to change my emails password. I have tried to access my mailbox through the Virgin Media online portal but this was met with an error message saying emails cannot be displayed. I have a number of very important emails that I cannot just stop using the account. I do not have a linked/related virgin media email account and know of no way to change my password. This email address is also the one I use to sign up to everything for and I have outstanding bookings and tickets etc attached to this account so not having access is a major issue. My question is, how do I go about changing my ntlworld password? I am reluctant to do anything until I have the process confirmed because of the hacked issue and potentially locking myself out entirely and losing everything. I’m aware that VM stopped supporting NTL World email addresses but I’m really hoping that you can help or guide me at the very least. Any help would be enormously appreciated.1.6KViews0likes9CommentsMother in law's account hijacked

She had this email from when she was a customer around 20 years ago therefore understandably doesnt have the account number or security password therefore livechat help isnt working as they keep asking for these details. I know the original address and landline number if this can help in retrieving her account - she doesnt understand any of this therefore i am trying to recover on her behalf3.6KViews0likes5CommentsNeed to change password on Blueyonder email
Hi, hope someone can help. I am an ex VM customer. When I left, I was told my email addresses would be deleted in 90 days. 5 years later they havent been, but hackers have now got access to my Blueyonder email address and the password. VM no longer gives me the facility to log on and change the password, but has left the email account active. This means hacker is trying to gain access to other online accounts etc by exploiting their access to my email account. How can I change the password on my Blueyonder email address or even just completely disable/delete the email address?700Views0likes3Comments
