NTL world email with Outlook issue

Hi, I am trying to resolve an issue for my brother/sister-in-law. They have NTL world email address and both have accounts to log into virgin media and retrieve these via web browser absolutely fine (I set-up and tested for them) and they used to be able to access via Outlook. However, this has now stopped working and I have tested their outlook by adding my ntlworld email which worked fine. I have tried to set-up from both my home W11 PC and my MacMini all to no avail!

Any ideas?

    Have you/they created an app password for the Ntlworld email addresses?  To create one or update an existing one you need to follow these steps:

    Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID

    Select Account Settings

    Select Identity & Security Settings

    Select Manage your products

    Select Manage email app password

    Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

    Make a note of the generated password. This is what you use in the mail apps along with the vm email address as the username.
