Internet keeps dropping off for a minute or so

Hello! My internet keeps dropping off throughout the day for a minute or so, both wired and wireless. Tried support and got nowhere. The issue only appeared or started occurring after I upgraded my internet package and got the superhub 5. Support noted that i have had 72 disconnects in the month of june but have been unable to resolve my very frustrating issue. Here are the info from the network log on my router.

  • Service status does say intermittent signal in area and i have ran through the hardware side of checking cables and resetting the power etc. Here is the cisco speed test, i had posted this already but it seems it didnt get approved.

      Good morning binime,

Thanks for your post and welcome back to our community.

I'm sorry to hear about the service issues you're having.

I can see you have arranged an engineer visit since posting. Please do let us know how the visit goes.

  • Thanks for the reply. The check-services tab states an intermittent signal in the area. Tried the steps in there for the hardware my side.

I will copy and paste the router info in another post

  • Hello, back again.

Had an engineer out, he changed the line inside the house and everything was great for 2 weeks or so and then the issue of dropping on and off came back. set up a bandwidth monitor and i will upload some of the graphs from it if anybody can make sense of them.

That doesn't look very good binime

Have you used the /check-services/ function to check for problems in your area? You can also a run a test on your equipment from there.  If nothing is showing  you could also try the automated Service Status number  0800 561 0061.  This often gives details of more local issues down to postcode level

If no problems are showing then you should type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 if you are in Modem mode) into your browser URL bar and press enter.  When the page appears click on  ‘Check Router Status’ (below the log in box) and when the page appears go to Advanced Settings > Tools > Network Status.

Then copy paste(don't screenshot)  the information from the Downstream and Upstream tabs.

When copy pasting the info from the Configuration tab you need to make sure that you blank out the MAC addresses

It would also be helpful if you could go to https://samknows.com/realspeed/ and click on Run Full Test so we can see what speed is going to your hub and also your device.
