BBC 1 occasional sound loss / picture freeze and pixilation

For the last few days we have been suffering from occasional sound loss and/or picture freeze and pixilation on BBC 1. It doesn’happen at regular intervals and the rest of the time the picture/sound is perfect. This isn’t happening on other channels. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have checked all of the cables and rebooted all equipment.

The last time that this happened, about a month ago, it turned out to be an issue at  Virgin Media's end.

    Yes, I have exactly the same. Only seen it on BBC1, the audio cuts for a couple of second and the video goes blocky.

      That’s the issue! Good to know that it isn’t just us. We've started watching BBC 1 on iPlayer to avoid the interruptions.

        Hello all,

         

        We're sorry to hear of the BBC One issues experienced towards the end of last week and weekend, we appreciate the frustration and you taking the time to raise it with us via the forums.

         

        It's been a few days since the last post, are you still experiencing the issues following your posts? Were any known issue reported here during this time or did any of you run tests on you connection and equipment?

    Exactly the same happening for me. Just BBC one and really annoying. I rang customer services, and all I was told is that they had changed some settings and everything looked ok their end. 
    But it hasn’t made a difference. 
    Need a fix!

    Just spotted this thread. I can also confirm that I am also getting the problem on BBC1. Intermittent, brief loss of sound and pixelation. Been present for a  few weeks.

    I’ve done the usual cable checks, disconnect and reconnect/tighten.  No improvement. Rebooted V6 box - no improvement.I’ve only noticed on BBC1 …. Sky channels seem OK.

    I have had the same thing, had it for months but it has been worse the last couple of weeks. Just on BBC. Very annoying! How can it be just on one channel?

    Also experiencing the problem, echo everyone else’s description annoying picture/sound glitch which seems to be affecting BBC1 on live tv

    I am still experiencing this problem/fault today, although it has been present for some weeks.  As it only affects BBC One, the issue must surely be at VirginMedia's end.

    Come on VirginMedia, please sort it out!

      I am having the same problem and been getting worse over the last 10 to 14 days. Very annoying . Does not happen when I watch bbc1 through my digital aerial on a different TV in my home. Therefore it must be a Virgin problem.  I am currently watching bbc1 10 o clock news and problem is happening at random intervals throughout the program.

    Seems to be happening this morning on U and Drama as well and at a higher frequency of about every 60- 180 seconds
