Constant red light on Hub3

hey all, we have the VM hub 3 for a few years now and it's been working fine until recently. Wifi connection drops randomly and doesn't pop back when restarted/reset. I read online that a steady red light could mean the hub is overheating, afterwhich it was moved to a shaded area. Still - red light on as always and internet disappears every now and then...! 

Does anyone know if and how to get a replacement hub? Is it free? Does it need an engineer visit?
