I can't get my landline to work. The wall socket stopped working so was told to plug it into the back of the hub using an adapter but still nothing. When I log into the hub it says 'Telephony Disabled' any ideas on how I get it working?

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community. Apologies for any Landline issues. If Telephony is showing disabled when you've plugged the Phone adapter into Telephone Port one on the Router, this means you have not migrated to our new Phone service yet.
Can you pop the Phone back via the wall socket please and let us know what's happening - is there a dial tone, crackly tone etc?

That's the first thing I tried, but when I plug it into the wall it's just dead. I've even tried a different phone and cable but still nothing
What hub are you using? if it’s Hub5x thats the new XPON connection doesn’t support telephony, you have buy a 3rd party adapter, they’re quite cheap, you are given a new number but can’t port your old one to them so you don’t lose it.
I have the adapter they sent me plus one I bought but lines just dead. I've tried both adapters and ports on the back of the hub but still nothing
Forum TeamIf your router is stating that 'Telephony Disable', you have not been migrated yet to the 21CV, digital phone line service. This means that your landline would not work when plugged into the router via any cabling/adapters provided.
When you plug the landline back into the wall socket, do you hear a dial tone at all?
If not, do you have your landline connected to the master wall socket or an extension?
Do you have any other devices connected to the landline when this is plugged into the wall, such as a third-party answering machine?
It's plugged directly into the wall socket but the lines completely dead

There are a few troubleshooting checks I will need you to perform to see if they are successful in resolving the issue. Can you:
Check the phone is seated in the base unit correctly & powered ON.
Remove all other equipment connected to telephone sockets.
Unplug the phone and check another phone directly into the main socket, ensuring this is a VM socket and not one with a BT or Sky logo. If no alternative handset is available, then ensure the original phone is plugged into the main socket with no other pieces of equipment being plugged in.
Let me know if any of these checks work at all, or if anything changes with the dial tone.
