There is a Virgin phone line attached to my fascia boards but I am having them replaced next week. The installers won't do it, BT can't because it's Virgin's cable, I've tried to get a Virgin engineer out to move it but have got nowhere with calling support or using the chat service. Can someone please help?

VM will want to migrate you to VoIP (so phone is delivered via your hub). Your hub will be replaced if it's too old. Call again and ask for this Digital Voice Switchover.
I assume you are not a Virgin Media customer if you asked BT. This is like my issue where I have excess cable across the front of my house and want it tidied up or removed. If the cable got accidentally damaged, they might send someone out to fix it.....
