Online Recontract - removing TNT sports

I just reconstructed myself online for broadband and TV, with an upgrade of my broadband speed to Gig1 for an excellent price. I have all the contract documents etc.

However, I was unable to remove TNT sports which is £18 a month and I don’t use (contract information stipulates 30 day monthly rolling so I figured I could remove any time).

Calling them is useless. Last time I recontracted online and wanted to make an adjustment they cancelled the whole thing and it took many phone calls and much frustration to get the original online deal price back.

Could someone at VM help me do this?

Thanks

I'm having the exact same issue. If I try and customise my package, when I go into the renewal options, TNT Sports has a checkbox underneath it that is checked, but I'm unable to uncheck it. Nobody in my house watches sports, so I obviously don't want to pay £18 per month for it.

I also had an AWFUL experience last time when I tried to renegotiate a contract and was within a hair's breadth of just quitting VM altogether.

  • Hello bgard07100,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your new contract.

I'd be happy to take a further look into this for you but first I would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started.
    Kind Regards,

Have you also noticed that the renewal price keeps going up?

When I logged in on January 29th, it said I could keep my current package if I signed a new contract at £58.83 per month. When I signed in yesterday, it was just over £60. Today it's £61.66.

Of course it does, the more times you check, the more it looks as if ‘this person is a mug, they won’t leave, offer them nothing, in fact increase the cost’. Sorry, that sounds harsh, but it literally is the way these things works.

Investigate alternative suppliers, what can they offer, how much, what’s the timescale etc. And then call VM and cancel, just cancel, only then might they offer a better deal.

Or maybe not, so you leave, but you have lined up an alternative supplier, no?
