Virgin Media Login
I have tried for the past three weeks to logon to my virgin media / O2 Mobile account and can't. It presents with this error stating that I should turn off VPN??? Use another browser, etc etc etc. Having come back to virgin after 18 months it seems that service and customer care have vanished. A chat with a bot? then eventually a person, I think stated that he would raise a ticket to resolve this. That was over a week ago and no contact. The error is below Instead: Use a device you've signed in on before Try again from a familiar connection If you're on a VPN, switch it off and have another go Still stuck? If this keeps happening, get in touch with us (quoting reference IDF-12B) and we'll help sort it. Getting anyone to answer the phone is near impossible, I give up after 30 mins waiting on the phone answering daft questions to another bot, that doesn't understand what I'm asking and punching various numbers on a keypad to transfer between who??? Please get this fixed, its been over a month since it was installed and well and truly fed up. Having signed up for broadband a couple of weeks ago, I was told by the salesman and my “welcome” email (which also contained contract info and came to the email address I asked to be registered and used for official communications) that I needed to sign up for “My Virgin Media” so that I could track the progress of my order. Having tried this 5 times (with the well used and talked about muchly on here, excuse, regarding my email not matching one on some other VM account) until I was barred until the following day, I battled the inevitable bot to eventually chat to someone who told me it would probably take 48 hours before the system recognised me. I tried again a couple of days later, and same problem occurred so decided to look on this forum. There were numerous other people having the same or very similar issue venting their displeasure and getting various responses regarding new app, O2 merger, IT problems that were being looked into etc.. I posted and got a reply saying it would likely not be resolved until my service actually went live. Fair enough I thought, I’ll live with that, thinking it wasn’t my fault after all even though I feel it must be (sorry, just the way my brain works). A couple of days later I received an email asking why I hadn’t marked my post as “resolved”. This upset me as I couldn’t work out how I could do that until my service went live and I was then actually able to satisfactorily achieve the aim I set out to accomplish. Again, I’ve failed, another mental setback. Still I manage to carry on knowing live date is drawing near. Only 4 days to go and I get an email questioning why I haven’t set up my account and listing all the benefits it will bring me, it tells me my account number, my area code and comes to my favourite email address and has my first name at the beginning. So I try again and guess what? Same problem, mismatched email address with some account I don’t even know about. I think I’ve just about had enough of all this malarkey and the negative effect on my mental health. I don’t even know why I need it surely I just get internet access and pay for it and count down the 24 months till I can go elsewhere. I have recently started a broadband contract and I need to manage my account as my installation date is coming up soon. When I registered for my virgin media, it keeps forcing my to link it to my O2 Virgin account ( I guess because I used to have an O2 account for my phone contract that was merged into an o2 VM Account) After entering my account number and area code, it shows me a message saying "The virgin media account we found doesn't make the email on your VM O2 account, please enter the email you used on your VM account to link them". I don't know what virgin media account it's trying to link to by I've only held 3 email addresses in my life years and I've tried them all. Also I'm not sure which VM account it's referring to because I think it used to hold one in uni for broadband, and one on an old virgin media phone contract. Or does it mean this one I literally tried to set up for this new broadband? I have been trying this every day for a week because after 5 attempts it blocks for 24 hours! I can't unlink them, I just have to come up with this email address that apparently was on an old VM account but I don't know it or the system is broken. How do I go forward from here and set up my my virgin media account? Can someone please message me.Unable to register
As many other posts have stated...when trying to register I get stuck on a "Request In Progress" screen after entering my intended password. Does anyone know if I have to wait for my services to be installed/activated? I am running into the same issue that a lot of people appear to have of not being able to register my account online. My services are all installed and live but the online process keeps freezing and timing out once you get to the set password stage. I have followed all the previous suggestions of clearing cache/cookies and history, making sure password meets requirements etc but have the same problem each time. I've seen a few people on here have the same problem and get resolved over PM, so could a VM rep please contact me? I have tried both support chat and calling VM and it is useless, no one is actually helping me, they usually send me in roundabouts to the exact same point or say they have fixed it but nothing gets done. I register with my account number, area, confirm my email, but when I try to enter a password it freezes up or errors, I have tried several devices and browsers, all the same. Good Afternoon, I recently signed up to Virgin Media last month (now that it’s available in my area) and am awaiting installation next week. I have tried registering my account for My Virgin Media however am hit with a message when trying to create an account; ”We’re sorry to see you go, now you’ve left us, we’ve closed your account and you can no longer register for My Virgin Media” Now researching this issue it appears it’s because I used to have Virgin at a previous address before moving to an area that initially didn’t support it. I had used the same email address and believe this to be a legacy issue relating to that old account. I have tried mentioned this to support on the phone previously but they said they couldn’t help.
