Email verification not working from email change
I have changed over to a new email provider and wanted to change on Myvirgin to the new email. Everything ok, changed email and then just needed an email verification, sent the link and clicked it once received. When I tried to log in it said i needed to verify email, even though that was what i had just done.. Takes about 3-5 business days to receive the email and just goes in circles. Hi team. One of my email addresses has been used by a member of my family and they accessed it using Microsoft Mail, which has now been discontinued. I'm trying to access the email address through My Virgin Media (Quick Link to Virgin Media Mail) but getting the 403 Forbidden message. Can someone please help me access the webmail so I can organise a new email client for my family member? Or perhaps there's another way to manage this email address? Hi, Last year I had one of my email accounts locked, I asked for help & found out that I needed to provide another email address to regain access to that account. I've now just been locked out of multiple accounts today with the same message, does this mean I've got to make up new email accounts to regain access ?? I just don't understand why Virgin Media keep locking people out of their email accounts when they're being accessed just so they have to make another email up with another provider so they can regain access again... its VERY frustrating !!!! Hi, I would like to change the password for my ntlworld email to improve security. I went ahead and changed the password for my virgin media login and this has successfully updated the password to log in to my email online. However the old password is still associated with my IMAP server so this is still used when adding to email applications such as outlook. would anyone be able to inform how to change the password for my IMAP please? When initially logging into email with [removed] my wife received an account compromised message. Following instructions we changed the mail address on the account to [removed] We changed the password and generated the app passwords as instructed. Email is now accessible via this account/password combination, but IMAP/POP is not using the password generated on the virgin website - as instructed When trying to change the account email address back to [REMOVED , we get a message to say you cannot change your sign in details to ntlworld.com. What is the resolution ? Why I can't she change the account back to ntlworld.com , as this is her email address ? Hi For some reason, why I check emails on my phone, my blueyonder email account is rejecting my password, and tells me that my password is incorrect. No other email address or provider is affected, only my blueyonder one. When I go to https://www.virginmedia.com/identity/forgotten-details/password and enter my blueyonder email address I receive the following message: Please ensure you provide the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media I have had the same blueyonder email address for over 20 years, and was able to access my emails yesterday, 11/01/25. I have made no changes or requests for a password reset. Hi, We’re having a problem with my mum’s account. She has had an ntlworld email address for over two decades and my parents are still virgin media customers, but my mum can no longer access her email account on her Google phone as it keeps asking ‘correct credentials needed - enter credentials for *******@ntlworld.com’ We have followed the whole process, try to put the details in on her phone and another error message pops up with ‘Problem with account setup - your username or password is incorrect’. We’ve gone into the Virgin media page online and entered another non-VM account for her to verify her ntlworld account through, then get ‘Your Virgin Media Mail account is currently unavailable’. Myself and my sister (a software developer) are stumped about how to help our mum! Today it seems scammers from Nigeria accessed my fathers blueyonder email account. I deduce this from the mail hedder containing: X-Originating-IP: 102.88.111.43 I am wondering if there has been any large scale hack of blueyonder data? or anyone knows of a substantial number of similar issues lately? I am a long way away so trying to give my dad support remotely, and have just completed a full system scan of his computer but cannot detect any virus/mallware/spyware active.
