V6 not recording during standby
I have recently had my V6 TV box upgraded via software to 360 and have also received a new remote. In the settings there is a standby mode with timings of 4,5,6 & 24hrs before the box will switch off if idle and hasn't detected any active device connected to it. This creates a problem if I want to set to record programmes further ahead of 24hrs as when I am away the box will switch off and will therefore not record the set programmes. There is no setting I can find to switch off standby mode. I recently changed the standby timer from 4 to 24hrs as I found the box switched off when idle and did not record any scheduled programmes. Switching to 24hrs has made no difference other than keep the box awake longer so increasing the possibility of detecting a signal from my TV when it is switched on. This is particularly irritating in that if I am away for more than 24hrs there is no certainty that any scheduled recordings will proceed. My tv has a standby mode which can be disabled why has this new 'improved' Virgin box not have the same facility. My current standby settings are active start, 24hrs. My 360 box is Arris-DCX960-MPA+. Please advise if there is a software issue or a possible fault with the box (please note there was no issue before the software upgrade). Regards71Views0likes4CommentsV6 updated to 360
Recently updated my v6 box to the new 360 software. Update wasn't the best at first, failed after 1st attempt, turn off, turn on then worked ok. I now have 2 distinct issues. The box has no white or red light when on or on standby. YouTube app has taken to lose sound intermittently. I know the box has sound output otherwise. Any assistance is appreciated 👌189Views0likes5CommentsNetflix App won’t load
The Netflix app has stopped working on my box. The other apps still load okay but Netflix brings up the ‘N’ logo with the loading circle and then it won’t go any further. I can use Netflix on the TV upstairs so it’s not a Netflix or broadband issue. It just seems to be Netflix on the V6 box. I could try rebooting the box which has fixed app issues before but has also wiped my recordings at the same time so trying to keep that as a last resort.24KViews1like27CommentsVirgin Media 360 - Netflix - No Sound
Excuse me asking this afresh but other responses seem to have been archived. I have a V6 box running 360. For Netflix only, other apps are OK and TV ok I get no sound. It has been occassional up to now and a restart of the box has cured. Reloading Netflix alone does not resolve. Today i have restarted twice, checked other apps, tried reloading Netflix, xhecked connections and speed and still get no Netflix sound. I know from past experience that if I contact Netflix they will recommend restarting the box which won't assist. Any thoughts or suggestions on a fix? Thanks893Views0likes2Comments360 box power off
Ever since signing up to the 360 service the set top box keeps powering off when not in use. It has to be switched off at the back and switched on again. It’s so frustrating, the 360 update has made my box almost unusable (especially coupled with the fact it wiped all my recordings which I don’t understand why?) The power supply seems fine and nothing else has changed prior to the update, all cables checked and the hub seems fine. Help please?816Views0likes2CommentsNoisy v6 box
Hi there. I upgraded to tv360 a few weeks ago and since then my v6 box has been unbelievably loud. ( fans spinning ) to the point where I'm having to crank the volume up on the tv rather loud to dround out the whining noise of the fans. It's quite irritating when trying to watch something. I did not have this issue before the upgrade to TV 360. Anyone else have this issue? Are they supposed to be this loud? Or is it a faulty box since the upgrade? Tried restarting / hard reset still the same issue. Any help would be appreciated it's driving me crazy!869Views0likes2CommentsVirgin 360 upgrade
So I got an email from virgin saying I could upgrade to virgin 360 on my v6 box as sky sports + won’t work on my box and there would be an app to install it. I have rebooted the box, unplugged it etc and the upgrade app is not there to select. Any ideas?2.4KViews0likes9Comments360 box - audio sometimes drops out from sound bar (HDMI ARC)
I have a Hisense TV, Samsung HW-Q60T sound bar and new Virgin 360 box. All works well but occasionally (like 2 or 3 times during the evening) the sound switches from coming out of my sound bar and reverts to coming out of my TV speakers (with a message on my screen saying ARC device has been disconnected). If I switch the sound bar OFF and then switch it back ON again then all is ok again and audio comes out of my sound bar (at least for a while, anyway). This didn't happen when I had the Tivo box and has only just started doing this since getting the new 360 box. I have not changed the way the 3 units are connected together with cables, that is still the same: TV to sound bar using HDMI ARC to HDMI ARC sockets. TV to Virgin 360 box using HDMI to HDMI sockets. I'm not very savvy when it comes to this new way of connecting various devices together but conclude that it must be some software issue or a settings issue but have tried various settings and nothing seems to make any difference. The sound still drops out now and again. Can anyone help? What am I doing wrong?2.2KViews0likes6Comments
