360 upgrade email
Hi I received the email to upgrade my two v6 boxes to tv 360 I clicked the link and put in my name and email address but it then just took my to my account page and don’t seem to have any confirmation that the update request has gone though. Received 360 remote 4 days ago. Current box is v6 Have spent hours searching tips etc & following online instructions including disconnecting v6 box, rebooting wifi etc etc and still no switch app on the apps page. All options I can see online are now exhausted. Spent 2 hours trying to speak to virgin customer services and continually placed in a doom loop of recorded messages then cut off. I have two Tivo boxes both hard wired to the router. The original (main) box is in the living room with the second in the bedroom. When watching a program recorded on the bedroom box on our main TV via the main Tivo box it often gets interrupted saying the connection has been lost. I have checked all the cable connections and restarted the router and both Tivo boxes but the problem persists. What else should I be doing?58Views0likes7CommentsV6 not recording during standby
I have recently had my V6 TV box upgraded via software to 360 and have also received a new remote. In the settings there is a standby mode with timings of 4,5,6 & 24hrs before the box will switch off if idle and hasn't detected any active device connected to it. This creates a problem if I want to set to record programmes further ahead of 24hrs as when I am away the box will switch off and will therefore not record the set programmes. There is no setting I can find to switch off standby mode. I recently changed the standby timer from 4 to 24hrs as I found the box switched off when idle and did not record any scheduled programmes. Switching to 24hrs has made no difference other than keep the box awake longer so increasing the possibility of detecting a signal from my TV when it is switched on. This is particularly irritating in that if I am away for more than 24hrs there is no certainty that any scheduled recordings will proceed. My tv has a standby mode which can be disabled why has this new 'improved' Virgin box not have the same facility. My current standby settings are active start, 24hrs. My 360 box is Arris-DCX960-MPA+. Please advise if there is a software issue or a possible fault with the box (please note there was no issue before the software upgrade). So I got swapped to "Virgin TV360" or whatever it is after having this V6 box for ages, which I was quite happy about tbh as it has some serious issues. Anyway, I got a new remote control in the mail. And no box. So we're sat here, and a week later the V6 box updates - all new software, I am guessing this is the 360 box software (which, apparently, works on anything lol) - box is much faster, and I do prefer the layout, but it doesn't turn on with either remote, I have to turn it on at the box which is actually kind of a pain. I do not have time to call, and it's impossible to find an email address that doesn't bounce back, is there someone here that can take my order number or name or whatever, and get my new box sent out please? Everytime I'm watching rugby league on sky sports plus red button it's laggy and horrible. Every couple of seconds it's like it's buffering/skipping. It's so annoying. Wifi signal strength is showing as 82% and download speed is 600, so surely this shouldn't be happening? I've reset the box (V6) and the router and it's still the same. I have a V6 Tv box with a Hub 3. About 6 months ago the Hub 3 rebooted and since then it has a solid red power light. I have tried re-booting and checking/replacing the Ethernet cables but still the red light remained. No faults were detected by VM and my broadband worked fine so I assumed it was just the age of the box. A few months later the main V6 box started re-booting which I initially put down to an old TV that needed replacing. However, having bought a new TV it keeps happening with the message to Check Power Source. I can only clear it by turning the V6 box off and back on again but it happens again 30 mins later. The redlight on the Hub suggests overheating but the box does not feel warm. Anyone else suffering from this standby issue and is it likely to be related with the redlight on the Hub? Recently updated my v6 box to the new 360 software. Update wasn't the best at first, failed after 1st attempt, turn off, turn on then worked ok. I now have 2 distinct issues. The box has no white or red light when on or on standby. YouTube app has taken to lose sound intermittently. I know the box has sound output otherwise. Hi, Cam home today one of my V6 box's is stuck on 33% loading up the channels, my internet is fine and when I go to settings connect to Virgin network all comes up as fine. I've checked connections all is good and I can get trecorings ok. However their is a notice of a problem regarding Broadband and it does mention V6 "Virgin Broadband, Interactive TV & V6 On Demand services might not be working at the moment.Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused".
