V6 updated to 360

Recently updated my v6 box to the new 360 software. Update wasn't the best at first, failed after 1st attempt, turn off, turn on then worked ok.

I now have 2 distinct issues.

The box has no white or red light when on or on standby.

YouTube app has taken to lose sound intermittently. I know the box has sound output otherwise.

Any assistance is appreciated 👌

  • A factory reset is always a good place to start using the keep recordings option.

It's only a partial system reset and not a complete factory reset. You are given 2 options,

    Keep Recordings

    Format Disk

Choose Keep Recordings, that means you won't lose your recordings and any planned recordings or series links you've set up, you will have to sign into your apps such as iPlayer, Prime, Netflix and ITV-X again, also Match frame rate and Standby power consumption will go back to their default settings if you have changed them.

Sound advice pal but I've literally updated the box from TiVo to 360 and spent time setting up all the apps and device settings too.

The lights aren't a major issue, but seems strange they don't light up when they used to.

YouTube app seems to be fine now, changed audio output to 2.0 pcm as I use a standard stereo soundbar.

        Good morning STEVENBEATTIE,

The standby light and power on light should be working and we apologise that this isn't.

Could you please ensure the remote is working and paired with the box. You can try re-pairing the remote or performing a factory reset. Please also ensure all cables are securely connected to the box and the TV and make sure the box is plugged into a working power outlet. If that doesn't work, please try different start-up modes: Go to Settings > System > Standby power consumption and try Fast start or Active start.

Please pop back to us when you can.

If it ain't broke don't  fix it or fall for one of VMs 'upgrades'.
