TV Upgrade
I have been trying to upgrade my Virgin package by taking advantage of an offer in My Virgin media online account: Mega TV for £14 and Sky and TNT Sports for £39 on a stream box. I plan to add multi-room at a later date. However, the next day I received an email asking me to call the contact Center in order for them to process the order. Upon calling the call centre (Overseas) I was told a myriad of things one agent said that they can't process this order as its online only, another said they would have to charge me £50. At this point, I had already been provided with a contract information sheet stating my new monthly cost. Another agent said they could do the same package but for £150 a month. One agent in retentions was able to set it up and said that he would ask a back office team look into it. I was assured the box would be on next-day delivery. The next day, the box still has not been sent by Virgin Media. Virgin state the box is out for delivery and will arrive within 2 hours. Yodel says they have not received it. One member of staff hung up the phone on me, staff in the local shop were beyond unhelpful (Claiming no access to systems). Edit To add one manager at Virgin Media kept getting most of the details of my complaint wrong.67Views0likes2CommentsStream power adapter missing
I've had a Stream box sitting unused since I set up my broadband (as I had no need for it). I've just tried to install it finally this morning and found there's no power adapter in the box. Is there a way to request a new power adapter by itself? I've tied the Virgin help chatbot doesn't seem to be able to answer any questions about equipment or even seem to know that Stream exists. Apologies if this has been asked before, I've been getting conflicting information and looking to find out the right answer once and for all. 2 things: I'm currently a Flex customer. I've been trying for the next part of 18 months to get a 2nd stream box but I'm told it is not possible. I need to wait until my contract ends. There is no way to add a 2nd stream box for Flex customers. Is this definitely the case? When I go to the My Virgin Media app and then upgrade I have an option to choose Sky Sports for £18 per month for 18 months and TNT sports for £10 per month for 18 months. I have chosen these a couple of times now and get a new contract through email but nothing actually happens and I'm still charged the same Flex price of £38.74 for Sky Sports and £18 for TNT. Seems like other have the same issue so feels like it's just a phantom offer that doesn't actually exist. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? Flex was great when I first signed up but doesn't feel like the support or knowledge is there with staff for this product as I constantly get told conflicting information.113Views0likes5CommentsI want to move over to a stream box
I'm actually trying to move over to a Stream Box from an existing V6/360 box because of ongoing issues with boxes always overheating and fan noise/HDD noise. I don't need the recording feature of the existing box, and something that runs much quieter and cooler would be idea. I rang customer services figuring it would be a welcome request as the 360 boxes are being killed off anyway. I was told it is not possible, the only way to do it was an additional £10/month fee and have it as a second box. This seems ridiculous. I'm actually trying to do VM a favour here as one of these days their dodgy hardware is going to set my house on fire. I was also hoping the Stream Box, which uses a different distribution mechanism (the broadband line not the dedicated TV coax) may resolve the sounds and sync issues which have emerged over the last few weeks and for which I am still awaiting a report back on some sort of fix. Was the customer service droid accurate, or could he just not be **bleep** doing what was necessary to recreate the existing package with a Stream Box rather than V6/360?224Views0likes8CommentsIs it possible to get a recording box with Stream?
We recently switched from Sky, where we'd been a customer for over 10 years. We hadn't realised when we switched that we'd only get the Stream box and that we can't record. At first it wasn't an issue, but not everything becomes available on the watchlist, and my husband is annoyed that we are paying for Sky Sports but he can't watch later if we're out; on Sky he'd be able to record his football matches and watch later in the day. This is the main reason why we wondered if it's possible to get a set top box to be able to record. Considering the additional cost for Sports it feels like a slap in the face to not be able to watch it later. Sky made us send back our Sky Q boxes so we can't switch back, and new contracts now only have their version of Stream! Why are these companies charging us so much money but we're losing the ability to record our entertainment to watch when we want?!347Views0likes1CommentMega TV upgrade sending Stream box
Hello, I am planning on completing an upgrade offered to my mum who is currently a broadband only user to upgrade to Mega TV. When completing the upgrade steps I noticed the equipment that is being sent is a Stream box. Will all the channels that are available to Mega Tv be available on the Stream box and will this work in the same way as the normal Stream/Flex service works (no coax cable needed and provided via the internet)? Just wanted to confirm as most articles I've read say Mega TV is only available via Virgin 360 boxes rather than Flex/Stream boxes. ThanksSolved296Views0likes7CommentsFlex subscriptions dont work
I have been with Virgin for 13 years and never have I encountered such poor / non existent customer services! I signed up for Sky Sports during the £18.75 a month offer. But it has not activated. Customer services tell me they cant add it, as it needs to be done my end. But when I try to add the subscription I just get an error messages. The stream service is abysmal. Online chat keeps kicking me out. Then the bot comes back to ask the same stupid questions. No reply from my online complaint 2 weeks ago. Telephone support hang up on me and dont call back I was asked to send proof of my offer to narender bhatt at the virgin email address which I did, and still no reply!! Truly shocking experience. Looks like ill be missing the start to the F1 season!!95Views0likes1CommentFlex / stream not allowing subscriptions to be added
I have recently joined Virgin and had a Flex stream box installed. My first impression is that I'm very happy with the box, it is proving to be alot quicker than BT. However, I'm unable to manage my Stream Box subscriptions so I can't add/remove any subscriptions to the box (Sky Sports or TNT Sports etyc). When I try doing it through the box, I just get an error message telling me there's a technical problem at the moment and it shows me a QR code that takes me to virginmedia.com/manage-stream. When I use this link and log in to my account, I can see that Stream is on my account but when I click on Manage, I get an error message again and I'm unable to add or remove anything. This has been going on for five days now. I've checked online and found quite a few posts on this forum about this so I'm not the only one having this problem. However, I haven't been able to find any solutions to this. I have raised the issue with the help line and they sent out an engineer to change the box but that didnt work. The engineer then spent an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue but without any joy. Having looked through old streams on this community it would appear that the box / account hasnt been activated correctly, in a previous stream from 2022 it was suggested that someone from Virgin help team send a "hit" to the box and that activated it. However I can not get through again on the help desk to make that suggestion. Has anyone else had this issue recently? Does anyone have any ideas of how to approach this and how to fix it? Based on previous posts, calling VM seems pointless as customer service don't seem to know what a Stream Box is. Is anyone on this forum able to help?3KViews0likes16CommentsTNT sports on stream box
