Is multi room still a thing?

I already have a existing vm account and have a tv box with it, I wanted to add a stream box to my account which I tried through the web chat last Monday 1/12/25 told it was no problem I would be charged £10 extra per month for the subscription and delivery would be 3-5 days. Went back on webchat tonight 9/12/25 to be to check where my package was to be told it’s not possible to add a stream box to an account so my question is this. Can I have a stream box or not? Can one hand tell the other what’s happening? I just want to watch football when Eastenders is on

  • I’ve just come off the web chat and been told I can’t add a stream box to my existing account as I have a tv box and you’re not allowed to have both. I originally placed an order for a stream box last Monday to be told it was ok and be delivered within 3-5 days. It seems like Virgin media no longer offer a multi room function anymore

    You should be able to add a Stream box if you already have an existing V360 box. If you are still on the TiVO platform (V6), you will have to migrate to V360 (Horizon TV platform) in order to add Stream, as TiVO & Horizon kit are incompatible with eachother.

      Although to add that if you're still using a V6, then you can have upto 2 additional multiroom V6 boxes.

      Stream is non-recording, V6 boxes can all record. Both platforms can view live TV, but Stream does so via the internet whereas V6 require a co-ax connection for broadcast signals.

        Is VM still offering V6 multiroom as it would make sense to standardise on a 360 plus Streams.

    There is one case where you can't have an extra Stream box and that's when you have a Flex add-on to broadband which permits just one box.

    Welcome to the Community, and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re experiencing trying to order an additional box. 

    There's not much else that I could add from here that hasn't been said by the other Forum members. Do you know which box you currently have?

  • I tried to sign up for the half price offer for multiroom that came from VM via email. The holding page said 'Congrats - you're all set', but there is nothing showing under orders on my account, and I've not had any email confirmation. When I tried Chat just now, that wasn't working. Help!

The linked holding page said 'Congrats - you're all set' after I input my details, but there is nothing showing under orders on my account, and I've not had any email confirmation. This was 4 days ago. When I tried Chat just now, that wasn't working.
