Remote not working on new samsung tv
Hi, just purchased a new Samsung tv, while setting it up it’s trying to connect to the box using the tv app which I thought was great, one remote to control everything. That’s where the excitement ended, it didn’t connect to the arris 360 box at all, I tried everything! The box number is DCX960/KK0B/N215/1000 any ideas how I can get this working? Hi guys I have two Virgin 360 boxes, one in the bedroom and another in the living room. I used to have a mini box upstairs, but this stopped working and VM send a 360 box. Since then I’ve had issues recording remotely using the VM GO app. Every time I go to record something I get a message back reading ‘Your TV box is in standby mode. We’ll schedule [name of programme] when it wakes up’ ??!! can someone advise me if there is a setting I can change to get this working again? I’ve have tried playing around with the settings but just can’t find a fix. Virgin sent out a new 360 box to replace our very old TiVo one. I connected it all up and all was going fine. I wanted to connect it to the internet via Wifi because the two ethernet cables in that room are already used by other devices. It went through the process of connecting for up to 15 minutes, before eventually saying Account Retrieval Error CS1012. I've tried restarting and it just goes through the same cycle, 15 minutes trying to connect then the same error. I've also plugged in an ethernet cable, but given the behaviour doesn't change I suspect it's still trying to use Wifi. There's seemingly no other options to do anything on the box, it's just a full screen error with no menus or settings etc. When putting in the wifi password it is a long complex one, so it may have been entered incorrectly. I couldn't see the option to show it clear text so just submitted thinking it would error if it was wrong and let me try again. Hopefully it isn't trying to connect on the wrong password and that's causing the issue. I use the Virgin hub in modem mode and have my own router and wifi extenders setup, but there's no problem connecting to the internet (through Virgin) on other devices so I don't think this is the problem. There's an engineer coming out on Saturday but wondered if there's way to hard reset the box so I can start again and try on ethernet, or any other potential fixes to fix it before the engineer comes out. One thing I noticed was a few light scratches on the front, so I don't think this box is a new one. It started up in a factory reset mode so guessing that won't be a problem. I had a message flash up on my phone yesterday about an upgrade to 360, which entailed a firmware update and a replacement remote control. Thought I'd look in more detail today but can I find it - nope. Went into my account and an upgrade tag was available but when I select it it just takes me to add a service to my package. My 360 box was about 80% full of recordings. I went to watch one today, only to be presented with a screen saying "you have not recording anything yet", or words to that effect. I tried restarting the box, but that made no difference. I went to iplayer to watch my programme and was made to sign in. The iplayer sign in screen is different to usual and some other screens also look different, so I think there has probably been a firmware/software update which has messed up my box. This may be coincidence, but I have also signed a new contract just a few days ago. I have not changed from V6 to 360 or anything. I was on 360 on the old contract and am still on 360. Has a software update caused my recordings to be wiped, or is there a fault with my box? If so, can I order new boxes please? Can customer services help me via this forum and PM please? When I power the 360 box down with the remote red button will not power up with the remote red buttons have to a complete shut down and reboot. Box is approximately 10 years old (we got 360 later through the software download and the remote was sent to us) In addition I am having remote pairing issues. Also when trying to access Netflix through the 360m box program guide, Netflix freezes and requires reboot to reset. Have reloaded and rebooted several times, but problem still persists. HELP PLEASE! We upgraded to 360 a couple of months ago, and all has seemed well enough. But for the past few weeks we have been unable to pause/rewind/fast forward any On Demand/Catch Up services. Its very frustrating - we either have to completely restart the show and wait to see the remainder (watching the same sections over and over), or have to miss parts whilst it continues to play. Excuse me asking this afresh but other responses seem to have been archived. I have a V6 box running 360. For Netflix only, other apps are OK and TV ok I get no sound. It has been occassional up to now and a restart of the box has cured. Reloading Netflix alone does not resolve. Today i have restarted twice, checked other apps, tried reloading Netflix, xhecked connections and speed and still get no Netflix sound. I know from past experience that if I contact Netflix they will recommend restarting the box which won't assist. Any thoughts or suggestions on a fix? Hi, my mother in law has dementia and keeps losing her remote. We don't know where she puts but we can't find them in her relatively small house. Is there a way to find lost 360 remotes? I know you could make the old remotes bleep by pressing buttons on the box but I don't think you can do that with a 360 remote?
