I can't find a clear answer to this.
When setting up a series recording on my Virgin 360 box, I can adjust it using the 'Advanced' option to record 'new episodes only'. But does this ensure it will capture the new episodes from a new season of the same programme?

Yes does exactly that i do it to record whole season which is new only be careful tho some programmes not new only so wont work unless u change it if u look at guide it say new in EPG
I've had the 360 since Nov 2022 and haven't had any issues with it picking up new episodes for new seasons of shows.
Both the "New only" and "From this episode onwards" options should work.

Understand to use Advanced Options, however "New Only" not showing as an option. Just From Series XX, From Series XX Ep 3 etc. Surely the available options will record new but also repeats of the associated episode is repeated

Based on other posts, there should be a New Only option for series recording, but i don't seem to get that option, just From Series XX or From Series XX Ep X - which I assume will record all airing of those episodes, new and repeats

thanks for the reply. I have found that most programmes are now providing the option to record New Only. This changed after initial recordings were made using From Series X, Ep X.
I even tried editing planned recordings and until he first had been recorded the New Option didn’t appear.
I have checked load of programmes and those that do not offer New Only are News programmes and some older repeated programmes, such as Frasier
However, I have found that the Virgin TV Go app (iPhone) does not give the option for any programme to record New Only. I have checked and I am on up to date versions.
