New episodes only

I can't find a clear answer to this. 

When setting up a series recording on my Virgin 360 box, I can adjust it using the 'Advanced' option to record 'new episodes only'. But does this ensure it will capture the new episodes from a new season of the same programme?

    Yes does exactly that i do it to record whole season which is new only be careful tho some programmes not new only so wont work unless u change it if u look at guide it say new in EPG

    I've had the 360 since Nov 2022 and haven't had any issues with it picking up new episodes for new seasons of shows.

    Both the "New only" and "From this episode onwards" options should work.
