Is this text legitimate?
Hi all, sorry for what I know is a repeat question, but I wasn't able to find the actual answer when this had been posted before! I'm trying to set up Virgin broadband in a house I'll be moving into next month, and had to leave my details because my address didn't appear on the dropdown. Today I received a text that says "Hello, You recently made an online application for Virgin Media services. To complete your order please give me a call. tony on (number)" It looks super sketchy, but since I don't seem to have any hope in speaking to a real person on the phone, I wanted to see if it was legit. Thank you in advance!32Views0likes1CommentEngineer visit to check if new line is feasible.
Hello, I am moving into a new flat and my only option for fast and reliable broadband is Virgin media. However, there is no line to my flat, but there is a line to an adjacent flat. Both are in the same building and we are neighbors Apartments A and B. My problem is that I phoned up Virgin Media and filled out a form for an engineer to come and visit the property, this was 11 days ago. The woman that I talked to said it would take up to 10 days but I am still waiting to hear back from the engineer and I don't even know if they have sent someone out. Is there anyway to expedite an engineer coming out or do I just have to hope they'll send someone?virgin media brown box gone and wires cut.
I have recently joined virgin media and received my broadband yesterday and set it up however it has been flashing a green power light for over 24 hours with a green wifi light and nothing else. I have spoken to the team yesterday before it was 24 hours and they said to wait however the time is now over and after reading threads i realised there’s supposed to be a brown box outside. I went outside and saw there’s what’s left of a brown box with one wire hanging out (cut) and what appears to be half of the internet cable. What shall i do as i need the internet as soon as possible?I need my installation kit sooner, VM changed my date without reason
I signed up for a package today as a customer and chose well in advance for delivery on the 18th of June. I have since got an email from VM stating that date cannot be done, and rather than bring it forward which makes more sense, they have pushed it back meaning I will have no access to internet for approx 3 days, because they changed the date without giving me options. I had this email from them from webteam@virginmedia.co.uk: We're sending your QuickStart install pack very soon, but unfortunately we can’t give you the slot you picked on our website. It'll now arrive with you on <22 june 2024> between 8am and 9pm. If you gave us your contact details, our delivery partner Yodel will text and/or email you with a 2 hour estimated delivery slot on the day. Can anyone help from the VM forum team or does anyone have a contact number I can ring to request an earlier delivery? (Or does emailing back webteam@virginmedia.co.uk go to a team who can help?)
