Here's the set-up: The Virgin Media service is cabled from the street into the omnibox which on the side of the house. Here, there is a splitter. One cable goes to the internet on the other side of the house, the other cable goes to the living room. In the living room, there's another splitter. One cable goes to the VM box for the TV in here (diagnostics show a 98% RF signal strength - great), the other cable goes upstairs (chased into the wall) to the bedroom. The cable length from the downstairs splitter to the box in the bedroom is about 6 meters and all connections are good and tight. The upstairs box (an old TiVo box) is only getting 33% RF signal. Now, the box works but I was wondering if this signal strength is an issue and if so, how to increase said signal. Thanks. Damaged Brown Box and Generally Shonky Install Hello mods. My VM brown box outside is falling apart and is held together using cable ties. Can someone pay a visit to install a new one please? Also, the installation of the cables was never great. Could they be buried and tarmacked over? See below. Thanks. Re: Emails Bouncing Back "Message contains bare CR" Emails are generated using Weather Station software (they are automated). I guess the problem lies there as other automated emails using different software are working fine. The full chain is this: Email generated by weather software (so brand new emails each time) > hMailServer (so I'm not using any webmail). Emails Bouncing Back "Message contains bare CR" Some emails are bouncing back. The error: Error Type: SMTP Remote server (IP ADDRESS REMOVED) issued an error. hMailServer sent: . Remote server replied: 552 5.2.0 Message contains bare CR and is violating 822.bis section 2.3 Any idea what this means? Thanks. Re: Blueyonder Email Addresses to be deactivated? So that's myself and someone else who has been told that blueyonder emails will be discontinued despite Virgin claiming above that nothing will change. Re: Blueyonder Email Addresses to be deactivated? I'm a little nervous though as the agent I called said otherwise... Blueyonder Email Addresses to be deactivated? I was on the 'phone with Virgin a few days back discussing several things and the call handler said "by the way, in about 18 months we are discontinuing blueyonder email addresses. You'll have to create a Gmail account". She couldn't give an exact date of the cut-off or any more details. Having used my blueyonder email for almost 25 years, I can't tell you how much of a pain this will be. Has anyone else heard anything?
