How to access established (older) email accounts
Like many I needed to access my Virgin Media account to try and fix email issues. After being a customer for over 30 years I had multiple email accounts and now I am struggling to access and fix even 1 off them. When did the system change to the new VMO2 account and password login? Did I miss any information or has this just been very poorly communicated, or even communicated. How does this new system work, what needs to be done to access my Virgin Media account and old ntl world.com emails? I used to have a email linked to my account and from there I could see 5 ntlworld.com email addresses. Now I can’t see or manage anything on those email accounts. How do I add those addresses and change passwords? I try to set up a new VMO2 account but it goes around in circles and doesn’t complete, why? Do I need another non ntlworld email account to set up and access my Virgin Media account and emails? This seems crazy. When I even try to login or create accounts using some of my email addresses they are not recognised as if they don’t exist, yet my older iPad can still access and download messages? Some accounts just constantly give error messages regarding VPN, or access via another machine, error IDF-12B. How do I get around this when I’m trying to set up a new iPad for daily access? I don’t have any O2 accounts, only a Virgin Media account and products. Where are the instructions, how do I get help to fix my accounts and access? Does anybody have definite working instructions.19Views0likes0Commentsdesperate help - emails not available on iphones after virgin APP password change
honestly losing the will - got a new computer and to get emails on there I needed to generate a new password via the virgin app - copied it correctly - got the computer working, then the iphones stopped getting emails . kept saying Password incorrect - enter password for the IMAP account "Virgin". so, we have 3 iphones linked to this account ( plus an ipad ) - so put the newly generated password in from the virgin APP generated one - still didn't work. Thought maybe I had written it down wrong as for a short period of time, when we took off wifi, we were getting the emails on 4 / 5 g. Being stupid, I did another new password via the virgin app - actually took a picture of it this time to make sure I had everything right - managed to get the main computer working ok using the password, but yet again, none of the iphones are getting the emails - in fact it has got worse as in we aren't even getting them on 4/5g now either. Have done absolutely everything the online chats say - turned off iphones and restarted - same with router - done several new passwords - even deleted the email account from one of the iphones and now can't readd it as it is saying "Virgin unavailable" - at absolute wits end - there are lots of chats on here about this, but I have not found a full solution that I have not already tried - helpSolved104Views0likes7CommentsProhibited word use reseting password
My Blueyonder e-mail, which has been working fine for years, just stopped accepting my password. I have received no communication from Virgin Media stating that it is time to reset my password or providing any other explanation for this. I tried to reset my password, and I continually get the "Prohibited Word used" for every password I try. Whoever designed this reset interface needs to go back to college and learn about user interface design and user experience. At no point is any advice given as to what a password should be. I have tried all manner of combinations based on other posts on this forum. Yes, my password starts with a letter (not documented anywhere on the form). Yes, I have an uppercase and a lowercase letter. Yes, I have a number. Yes, it is between 8 and 64 characters. No, it does not contain any easy-to-guess words. No, it is not a reused password. Somebody explain how ANYBODY is supposed to reset their password using an interface like this?51Views0likes2CommentsPasswords for my other NTLWorld email accounts
Back in the old days I could log into my Virgin Account and create and manage the other email accounts I had created for my wife and son. Now that facility has gone. My wife has changed her phone and I can not get the password for her email address to set up on the phone's email client. I am totally confused by the new process as it seems I now have to create a new Virgin ID for each of the other other email accounts. Do I create a Virgin account using the original NTLworld email address my wife has or do I create it using her outlook.com email address and then how do I link it to the NTLworld email so we can retrieve a password for it. I have tried to use the webchat to find out and the agents were the worse customer service agents I have ever dealt with. I work in IT providing support to users and if I ever acted like they have I would have lost my job. Can anyone help me?Solved94Views0likes1Commentsub email password reset blueyonder account

We have been customers for a long time... My wife and I both have blueyonder.co.uk email accounts. As account holder, I initially set up sub-accounts (email addresses) for my wife and each of our children. I used to be able to see these and manage passwords (in fact originally, only I could do this - they couldn't manage their own accounts). I cannot find this page anywhere on my account details. My wife has a new laptop, and cannot remember her email password (not something you use very often when emails are synched onto a computer) but we can't find a way to either recover or reset this. The account is still active and on her iPad, but it doesn't show the password. Any help and advice?? Thank you!101Views1like6CommentsNo longer have access to a Blueyonder email account
My daughter can no longer access her blueyonder email account. She can remember her password and the recovery email doesn't appear to be hers. I am the Virgin Media account holder and have been for more than 30 years. Would appreciate some advice on how she can view her emails. Many thanks.130Views0likes11CommentsWhich flipping (polite version) username / password / PIN?
Every time I have an issue with VM and need to login I seem to be entering an incorrect password. No idea why, I have a password manager which usually tells me what I need to enter (one now filled with multiple entries some with copious notes). Quite often I go to sign in to Email and the bookmarked URL doesn't work (usually get an error message, again, I don't know why VM make this difficult everyone else seems to handle it). So, how many passwords/accounts are there? Could someone from VM just list where I need a particular password or username and for any online services where the actual login page is. For example, and not limited to: Broadband / TV - account Email (blueyonder) (incidentally the username for this now seems to be my Gmail email address, oh wow) Email (blueyonder POP3 settings for Gmail) Virgin Media TV 360 box (need for resetting yet another PIN) Customer Services - telephone username / PIN? VM Community anything I've missed? Why can't VM just have a single account name for everything and simplify it for all their customers who have a billion other passwords to remember and VM is not the centre of their lives?Solved135Views0likes5CommentsEmail not sending - Correct Server Settings
Can someone please help. I am going mad with this and going round in circles. Recently my emails from my outlook app have not been sending and now emails from my desktop outlook at not sending either and I am being prompted to enter a user name and password. I rely on my emails and the only way I can send email is through the webmail. I have had a virginmedia account for years now. Emails are coming in but cannot be sent. Please help. I tried to phone 151 but there is no option for email assistance anymore. The pop up box to enter these details is consistent and it is annoying to say the least. Would it help if I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook?47Views0likes1CommentCan't log into skysports
