ntlworld email account hacked
Hi, I had an ntlworld.com email address. I am no longer a V M customer. This account seems to have been subject to a data breach and someone is trying to create accounts with it. The ntlword.com emails are being forwarded to a gmail account and I have been getting verification emails for a number of sites. As I am no longer a VM customer, if I try and get into ntkworld email account, I am getting an 'invalid email' response. Can someone help permanently delete this account and inbox? Many thanks Caz.22Views0likes2CommentsNtlworld email
Hi, I have just realised I still have an Ntlworld email that seems to still be receiving messages. There’s a lot of junk in there and it’s been years since I used it so for security, I just want it fully closed down. I don’t recall the log in details but can still access from my phone. Does anyone know how to just fully shut it down? I haven’t been a virgin media customer for year so I’m surprised the account still exists! thanks41Views0likes2CommentsNtlworld.com email account removed by Virgin
Ok so to start off with I do work in IT but am completely confused by this whole thing. Last week my .ntlworld.com email stopped working (I do have a current contract with them for phone, broadband and TV and this is the primary email address associated with the account). Anyway after a couple of days and some very limited help from Virgin I had to setup a separate outlook account and use this. They talked me through how to access my emails via Virgin Media but I can't get them on my phone either using the mail app or the outlook app. My new outlook email account is supposed to be used to access my virgin media email but I just can't work out how I should set this up. I have tried and tried and have now wasted countless hours on this and really need my emails on my phone. Could someone please help me with what the settings should be pls?135Views0likes6CommentsSending from ntlworld.com to gmail.com addresses not working
I sent an email to a gmail.com email address on 9th April and received an email saying that gmail had rejected the message because it could not resolve the ntlworld domain name against the IP address for the ntlworld email server. My understanding that this was a problem caused by Virgin Media allowing the ntlworld.com domain name to lapse. This was widely reported in the media at the time and fixed relatively quickly. However, when I now send emails to my gmail contact from my ntlworld account I no longer rerecive a delivery failure notification, but the recipient does not actually receive the message. I have tested this against several other gmail contacts. I can send emails to other contacts with ntlworld.com addresses. I am receiving emails with no problem from many email domains including gmail.com.34Views0likes1CommentDeceased’s email/account taken by widow, but how reset password?
Hi really hoping from virgin can help with this because the call centre can’t. Father was account holder and had 1 ntlworld email address. Passed away, got account transferred to spouse. Spouse was asked to set up new email (virgin media) address to associate to with account transferred to her. Father’s email address was kept live as spouse decided to use it rather than the new one she had as his was the one they both used and the address all friends and family held. Father’s email and computer with email account on continue to be used without any problems. Computer is now being replaced and so need to set up but need email account password. The password reset online says the email address is not recognised (despite the fact it is still used to this day for sending and receiving), so can’t password reset link. Called customer services and nobody can seem to locate his email address, despite it being live, despite it going through virgin’s services, etc, so nobody can reset it. Somebody somewhere must know where the email address is and how it is hosted and then someone must be able to get a password reset issued to allow the address to be awry up on a new computer and a mobile phone? Help (please) !!!!!792Views0likes2Comments
