Sending from ntlworld.com to gmail.com addresses not working

I sent an email to a gmail.com email address on 9th April and received an email saying that gmail had rejected the message because it could not resolve the ntlworld domain name against the IP address for the ntlworld email server. My understanding that this was a problem caused by Virgin Media allowing the ntlworld.com domain name to lapse. This was widely reported in the media at the time and fixed relatively quickly.

However, when I now send emails to my gmail contact from my ntlworld account I no longer rerecive a delivery failure notification, but the recipient does not actually receive the message. I have tested this against several other gmail contacts.

I can send emails to other contacts with ntlworld.com addresses.

I am receiving emails with no problem from many email domains including gmail.com.

"I have tested this against several other gmail contacts."

I have just sent  test emails from two different ntlworld email  accounts to my Gmail account and they all arrived in my Gmail inbox within seconds.

I know it does not help you at all but that suggests it's not currently an issue for all ntlworld  / Gmail accounts.

One thing you could check is to look in the Sent folder of your VM webmail account or your email app, which ever one you used to send the missing emails.

Make sure the missing emails to Gmail are listed there. If they are not, then it suggests that your emails to Gmail are not actually being sent for some reason.

If you are sending via an email app or client such as Outlook you can check the app's Outbox. If the emails were not sent for some reason then they will still be sitting in the app's Outbox.

If that is the case, the next thing is to discover why they are not being sent.
