Volt benefits not applied - virginmedia

From reading in the community discussion this is a fairly common event.   Have both O2 and virginmedia accounts (2 months now for O2, way longer for VM), MyO2 says Volt benefits applied, and indeed they have on the O2 end, but nothing from the virginmedia end.   Still see same package information.   Unclear if anything has changed.

Posting here seems to be the best route to getting information, so here goes

Replying to my own mail as I eventually found the chatbot/human help feature. Got this from the "sales" person on the help chat - not what any other website would lead me to believe.

I am sorry for the confusion as per policy account holder should contact us then there will be 18 months new contract with new package along with o2 sim for V125 it will be 59 GBP a month
