If you have a 360 main box and mini box as in the picture below you can only record on the main box because that has a hard drive and the mini box doesn't, that's why if you press record on the mini box it need's the main box to be on or set to fast start or active start so it can wake the box up to record, same if you want to watch a recording on the mini box.
If you have 2 upgraded V6 boxes you can select which box to record on by clicking on Record, then on the next screen click Advanced Options, then on the next screen click on Choose TV Box, then select the box, then click on Record. That program will then be recorded on that box going forward,
