Record

Past three day my box’s won’t delete recordings has everyone has same problem. 

  • Similar for me - It started on Tuesday and I either get the "Oops can't do this now....try later", or it says recording deleted but the recording still shows in the list of recorded shows (though the storage percentage does still seem to go down!).
    Also problems recording new shows - It lets me set recordings but doesn't then show them in the Planned recordings list or in the Recorded once the recording time is over - Odd though that if I go in the channels Guide, it does show them there, either with the hollow circle for planned, or solid red circle once recorded. and I can watch them from finding them in the guide, though it's a faff!
    Hoping that it's a software update glitch for now as there are similar forum posts, before I call Virgin Media (wary of losing all existing recordings if it means a new box needed).

    Me and I can’t record anything either! The only shows that record are the ones that were already series linked. If I try to record anything else it says it recording but doesn’t show in my recordings folder. Tried all the trouble shooting tips.

    Are you able to record anything new?

      We can record but just having deleted them.

      You’ve literally got my exact problem I posted about yesterday! I can set a recording but it doesn’t show in my recordings list, the only programmes that record new and show in my recordings folder are the ones that were already series linked before the issue started. I also can’t delete any watched recordings. 
      I’ve got a new box coming but I’m wary of installing it in case I loose all my recordings for nothing and have the same problem with a new box.

      I do not know how this is ever going to be fixed because Virgin Media don’t seem to think there is an issue when there clearly is! There are numerous posts about similar issues. If they don’t think there’s a problem then they aren’t going to fix it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve done all troubleshooting and nothing has resolved the issue.

      Thanks for you all for reaching out to us and those who it is the first time here, welcome. Sorry to here you are having issues with deleting recordings and it has been some time since you have all posted, could you all please clarify for me if you are still having issues or it has been now resolved?

      Yorkshire89 I know you have stated yours is now working, can you please clarify further as it has been a few days.

  • Yeah same here!
    I've done the full power off reboot of both the V360 box and the Hub, and also a factory reset (but keeping the recordings).
    It started Tuesday after I'd been away for the weekend, and I turned the box back on after it had gone into standby (turned back on as "Active start") - Everything up to then was showing as recorded, but it's since then the problems started!

      Mine started early yesterday morning so I feel like my box must have had an update during Tuesday night/Wednesday Morning that’s started it off. It’s so frustrating and there’s basically radio silence from Virgin, there is an obvious issue and it’s being ignored, it’s not going to be fixed if they don’t wake up to the fact something is wrong. 
      I’m paying an absolutely obscene amount of money out per month, can’t record anything new and don’t even know if/when it’ll be fixed.

      I’m not sure if it’s a widespread issue or a local ish issue but I’m in notts. Are you miles away from me?

        Spooky though, since my previous reply, all the stuff I deleted is no longer showing in the recordings, so that's back to normal!
        Also stuff I've recorded since Tuesday is now showing as usual in the recordings without me having to search for them in the channel guide!
        The only thing still wrong though, is that some of the planned recordings for later are now showing in the Planned recordings, but not all of them (though the others are showing that I've set them in the channel guide).
        I'm not a natural optimist, but I'll see how it goes.

    mine is still working now thank you. The only problem I now have is that I have received a new 360 box which I obviously don’t need so I’m waiting for the return package to send it back.
