I have upgraded my phone today, and have been able to transfer set up access for almost all apps, including My Virgin Media and Virgin TV Go. However, every time I try to log in to TV Control, I get an error message.
I am certain I am entering the correct username and password, as they are accepted both by the other two apps, and by the Virgin Media website. On occasion, I am asked to complete the captcha element. However, after this point, I always receive a screen titled 'Sign In Error', with the text 'General Error' and only the options to 'Try again' or 'Return to sign in'.
I have tried clearing the app cache and user data, uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, but with no improvement - the issue continues in the same fashion even when reinstalled.
Looking in this forum, I note that many others seem to be experiencing the same or similar issues. Why is TV Control not working when the other two apps are with the same log in details, and how can this issue be resolved?

Another here with the same problem!
Please could someone at VM log this and get it fixed.

Thank you so much for you post and welcome back to the community forums, it's great to have you here.
I am so sorry that you have faced this experience, just to confirm the TV Control app is only compatible with a V6, do you currently have a V6? If not you can set up recordings etc with TV Go instead.

Ah! I have a Hub 3 so I guess it will not work . It would be helpful if this app could clearly state that it's only for V6. Thanks.

Apologies, I think there may be some confusion there - the V6 is the model of the TV, not the model of the broadband Hub 😊
Do you have TV360 or V6 for your TV? As this may help us identify.

Sorry Tom - still getting used to the Virgin setup and names - only been installed a few weeks.
I do have a TV360 connected to my TV.

You need to use the TVGo app since you have a TV360 - the TV Control app is only compatable with the older tivo boxes.
