Log in to Sky Sports failing

Dialled in

Hi All

I am trying to access Sky Sports via Tv on the go by logging in on a browser (Chrome and Firefox).

Working fine yesterday but today I click log in and if lucky get the choose VM option and enter the e-mail and password and it then goes back to the main sky sports page and nothing is logged in. Most times it doesn't even go to the log in page but just goes back to the main sky sports page.

I have tried two different pcs, two different browsers (chrome and firefox) and have tried clearing the cache, cookies etc and made sure the browsers are fully up to date.

Any other suggestions I can try or is this another issue with Sky Sports (like the one a few days ago) that they will eventually fix.

Thanks

Hi all, sorry about the difficulty experienced accessing Sky Sports today.

It looks like the issue may have passed. Please can I ask you all to try accessing it again and let us know if you experience the same issue?

Thanks,

Tuning in

Now working on Firefox for me.

Still no joy using the Sky Sports app on my mobile. Refuses to accept my log in details saying that they're wrong when I know they're right! Very frustrating, tried uninstall and re install but to no avail

Hi Marco5454

Are you clicking on the Virgin TV UK icon?

Hi Dean – still having issues. On Chrome, I can't even get past the login screen – it just immediately presents an error message 'HTTP STATUS 400 – Bad Request'.

On Firefox, I can get past that error and enter my login details. After logging in I immediately receive:

Unexpected System Error

Just to confirm, I have Sky Sports via my Virgin Media account. It works on my set top box, but having persistent problems trying to log in via Sky Sports web.

All the best,
Ronan

Hi Ronan,

Thanks for coming back to us on this one. It looks as though there was a fault earlier this year but this has since been fully resolved.

Just to confirm, are you able to log in to TV Go with your detail successfully? If so, please delete the cache and cookies on your browser, ensure you're not using a saved link and instead go directly to the website, also ensure you have no extensions running in your browser. Finally, please ensure you're clicking the VM logo to log in.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

Many thanks,

Hi Ronan,

Do you have VM TVGo on your PC/laptop? If so please try the following:-

Open TVGo and go to the Live TV guide and select one of the Sky Sports channels. This should then show a clickable icon in a small red box, ' Watch on Sky Sports'  - clicking on that should reveal another red clickable pop up box, 'Exit to watch'.

Clicking on that will  direct you to the Sky Sports web page where you should then see a prompt, 'Install the Desktop Player' .If you haven't already installed Sky Desktop player then click on that prompt and the page will be redirected so you can download the desktop player app.

If you have already got that installed then click on,  'I have already installed the Desktop Player' instead and then click on 'Continue'  This should then open a Sky Sports pop up browser window to play your content.

You should also test the Sky Sports app on an android or ios mobile/tablet to see if it's working, and any problems use the VM TVGo app, click on a Sky Sports live program and then click on the pop up to see if it opens a working Sky Sports app.
