Sky Sports Darts - Laptop

Hi there. Full package subscriber to all channels, whose kids use their laptops in their rooms to watch Sky sports football. 

Don't have any issues logging onto Sky using virgin media log in section. And all other channels appear to work find on the laptop (Watched the manchester derby last night). However, the kids went to start watching the darts channel last night via their laptops and this is the message they get after putting in log in details etc.

"Subscribe to Sky Sports to watch live, or stream on NOW. You'll need a subscription that includes Sky Sports Darts.

Stream with a Sports Membership on Now TV"

As I said, all the other channels work fine and even the fact that it was the F1 channel isn't an issue as one of the kids is F1 mad, and had no issues with it previously.  He was OK watching the darts on the main even channel last night via his laptop.. However tonight Monday night football is being shown on main event.

Also he could access it via the app on his smart phone, that also worked without issue. Just for some reason appears to be on the desktop it's not working. 

Windows 11 laptop. Chrome & Edge browsers attempted. Cache, Cookies etc deleted. Still no joy. 

Any help please?

    I've just tried now and it appears to be working! However, this wasn't during a live broadcast but a repeat program so we'll see at 7pm when it's a live broadcast (well a delayed broadcast as nothing is ever 'live' anymore) and see if it really is fixed!!

    Hi aggrobeard

    I've just tested and the Darts channel is the same on my Windows 11 PC but works fine using the android app.  I wonder if it's because Sky haven't updated their web player pages correctly since the darts channel has replaced the F1 channel.

    I'm not sure if you have posted on the Sky Community Forum (the post seems to be the same as yours but with a different username  (JayMZ1980))  but no responses on that thread and no other threads showing with the same issue.

    It might be an idea to contact apps@sky.uk although the Windows version is a desktop player and not an app?

      Thanks for the response, yes that's me over on the Sky community board too (hedging my bets as thought I'd get told to ask on the opposite chat).

      Saw a couple others on twitter mention it and I've reached out directly to skyhelp on twitter also.

    I am also having exactly this issue trying to watch it through the sky sports app/website on an Apple MacBook. Would be really interested in the outcome if you find a response please buddy.

    +1 on this issue exactly as described (full subscription, all other channels fine) with Mac on safari. Can watch fine from iPhone & iPad apps

    Same here on Windows 11 with TVGO via Edge Browser, can't watch Sky Sports Darts becasue i'm not 'Subscribed' even though i've logged in Sky Sports via the Virgin link.

     

    So will we be compensated for loss of viewing? As it's not on any other channel and seeing as we currently can't watch it we are not getting the service we pay for.

    Same here.  I managed to watch last night on Event, but tonight that is football

    I have tried downloading the latest app just incase, cleared the brower caches and tried all 3 main browsers on this here laptop

    Yeah, I've tried 3 different browsers, refreshed cache, deleted cookies. Uninstalled and reinstalled sky sports viewer... Nothing helped.

    As stated above my brain tells me it's a sky issue since their switch over from F1 to Darts... Possible licence issue?

    Back on main event tomorrow though lads. I've sorted other methods tonight for the kids though

    It's been like this for at least a couple of months now. For some of the other competitions (grand slam etc) i got around it by subscribing to the official PDC darts and using a VPN to watch the European stream. That's not possible for the worlds as it's SKY only.

    Hopefully they fix it soon.

    As with everyone else I have the same issue. On chrome on Windows 10 , all other channels fine.

    I'm trying to get 506 sky sports days to load via browser on the Go app/ Sky app. It won't work,  terms me i don't have access. But it does work on android and the TV, so I clearly do and this is a sky app problem?
