Hub5 intermittently drops from 1gb down to 1-5mb

Hi all,

My 1gig VM service has been working fine since it was installed and all of a sudden a few days ago I started to get somewhere around 1mb download, upload seems fine, about 4-5 times a day and only a reboot of the router fixes it. My setup ideally uses Modem mode but I've tested in router mode and it's happening in either mode.

I've been searching the forum today and noticed a lot of people using RealSpeed so I'm just waiting for it to happen again so I can run that (typically it's not happened since...)

I can't find a reference guide for expected power but after browsing a number of threads and seeing other peoples results I'm a bit worried that mine are looking low, but I'm not sure.

If someone could take a look and let me know then that would be great.

A amp might of failed giving you low power levels mainly on the 3.1 Downstream channel

Ok, pretty much as soon as I setup the BQM test it happened again.... here's the RealSpeed output.

Taken at face value the 3.0 Downstream signals are as much as 10 dB low
and the 3.1 Downstream signal is about 20 dB low.

Kind of very odd that the 3.0 Upstream signals are all connected at 64 QAM
and in an acceptable power range.

Thanks, I've checked both methods and there's nothing reported in my area.

Here are the requested results, note that these are all post the router being rebooted. I'll take another set when the issue reoccurs.

Here's the RealSpeed test post the Hub reboot for comparison also.
