Potential 3 month delay for installation

I ordered my broadband for the 7th of February, unfortunately since then I’ve had 3 new installation dates and a new set for next month. My ‘local representative’ has told me they’re waiting for the permission from local authorities and till then nothing will happen, customer service echoing the same message. Virgin is the only fibre optic broadband available on my road and I’m currently using 5g broadband. Has anyone gone through anything similar, will I end up getting the broadband or is it pipe dream at this point.

A familiar story ....  the waiting on local authority is a usual "excuse" - in reality that usually happens very quickly and the issue lays elsewhere in a long chain of outsourcing.  Not much you can do about it other than collect large amounts of account credits for their missed dates.

See this for some pointers on a similar issue in 2021

Look at John’s excellent précis of the situation in message 18 here…

And then re. install compensation - see the Ofcom rules….
