Hi, We already have a green box outside our terraced house, came home from work yesterday and another one is in the process of being installed right next to our front door, it is alot bigger than the original one and looks awful, I have a disabled sister who visits regularly and parks her mobility scooter exactly where this box is, can it be moved? We had no notification of the box being installed.

Hi @Muppet1969
Sorry to hear of your concerns with the placement of a cabinet.
Can you confirm, has this been placed on your property or on the street? Are you able to take some images of the green box and how it impedes any accessibility to your home please so we can investigate this further

Is that the street or ur property?

expect no help on here from staff other than what you have had - if you start with that you wont be disappointed - if its the street then permission will have been given by your local council so you need to contact them - they may or may not agree with you and get VM to move it - or not
if you own that piece of land and are 100 % sure you do then contact citizens advice or a solicitor - but again dont expect any help on here from VM

Please do pop them across an enquiry and they will assist further.

Certainly looks like a public footpath:

There is going to be a lot of this where the new fibre cabinets have to serve the same footprint as the old coax cabinets. The new cabinet cannot be co-sited next to the existing one due to the adjacent gas supply pipe, so has to go as close as possible in relation to the existing road crossing duct.
