Outside cable cover

The small black cable cover has come unstuck.  I’ve had a go myself but it’s not flat any more.

Phone nos and chats  don’t  seem to have a category to select.

Thanks for coming back to us, RoboFramer. I'd be happy to take a further look into this for you; however, I would need to confirm a few details via private message. Please look out for my message, and we can get started.
    Kind Regards,

  • Here it is.  I think I’ll get it flat with heat, and I have suitable adhesives.

It’s more frustration at not being able to speak to/communicate with someone in a company that deals with communication!

  • Hey RoboFramer, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community.

Please can you just attach a photo of what you mean so we can check this out please?

  • I thought I’d posted thus already!

I think I can sort it myself.  It’s more frustration at not being able to  easily communicate with a company that deals in communication!

The only thing a VM tech will do is splodge it back on again with another blob of silicone. You will probably do a better job of it yourself.

The hole is well-sealed with silicone. The black cover is mostly decorative. For a permanent fix, try some better sealant/adhesive and put a screw in the top of the cover plate to stop it falling off again.

  • I’ve stuck it back best as but it’s still not flat against the wall, I can seal the gaps I suppose and then put a plant in front of it but I’d rather have a nice new flat one!

Did you remove the old silicone from the brickwork before re-applying new silicone?  As suggested by goslow , I'd also use a couple of screws at the top, into the cement, to make a better job.
