For the last few weeks I have been experiencing WiFi dropping out and the light on the hub is constantly red. I have checked service status on virgin media and this always suggests to reset the hub which I have done including the factory reset.
Left off for a while in case it was overheating but still have the problem. Hub is warm but not what you would call hot. It is out in open and upright as it always has been. I've had it a few years only just started to get these problems.
Rang support who tried to convince me it was my devices or it's location that were the problem. Multiple devices experience WiFi outage so definitely not that and it hasn't moved when it has proven to be reliable in the past. Support also tried to convince me it was a speed issue and they could upgrade my package and send a new hub. Only £30 a month extra! No way. The hub is faulty and I can't get this through to them. I just need a new one!!

You have two separate problems. The red LED means the hub probably needs replacing, but the other problem cannot be investigated until it is fixed.
