Red light on hub - again

Sorry I know this is a common issue, as I've been reading on here about hubs with red lights - ours seems to switch fairly regularly between red and amber. I have tried reset and rebooting it, with no real success. I have no idea which hub type it is - and how hot it would feel if overheating. It feels warm to touch - but not really hot. We don't have any real issues with our wifi, but I'm a little worried about the red light being on so often. Is it something to be concerned about?

Hi Sarak10

Thanks for your post, welcome to the Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear you've been having a bit of trouble with your Hub. The colours of the lights shown on Hubs can mean different things depending on what Hub model you've got, so first we'd need to find out which Hub you have 😊

You can check what type of Hub you have here along with what the lights mean for each Hub. Can you please let us know the model?

We can completely appreciate your concern if the Hub is showing a red light and this is indicating that it's overheating. For this, can you please confirm if the Hub is in a clear and open space, is sat upright and is well ventilated? We'd also recommend performing a factory reset on the Hub to ensure all the settings are as they should be. To do this, you'll need to push a pin into the Hub's pinole for at least 60 seconds. Please note that doing this, any customisations will revert back to factory default.

Let us know how you get on.
