So booked in with virgin a month ago to have fibre installed at my first house that I have now had the keys for for 3 weeks. It’s up a private shared driveway so they sent engineers out and they advised they would need permission from other neighbours to run the new cable. My neighbours have been pretty useless and keep advising they haven’t recieved anything and the wayleave team keep advising they are sending out the forms. The neighbours we are attached too have already had a cable put in and the drive dug up so surely they must already have a wayleave document from other people on the street? Also if it’s already been ran to next door can’t our fibre be fed from their existing cable? Really starting to worry now as there’s only so much we can do with 4g from our phones. Please can anyone help??

Hi Alexbrookes23,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
We're sorry to hear your installation has been delayed due to wayleave permission being needed. I'm afraid even if your neighbour already has a service, unless we already have an agreement on file we would need to request the access. Given that the teams have advised this is needed, it must mean we don't have the up to date permissions required.
I can see that since posting, you have spoken to the team and they've arranged for the Wayleave team to get in touch with you for an update. They should be in contact with you within the next few days.
Many thanks,

Hi Kath,
Thank you for replying I’ve called twice to try and contact the wayleave team but nobody has got back to me apart from saying they’ve sent the forms to our neighbours which they told us they had done a month ago. I was told they would call me back twice and they haven’t tried to call me once to discuss so I think we will be cancelling and going with another provider

Hello Alexbrookes23
Thank you for your update and sorry to hear this is still ongoing with little or no contact from our wayleave team.
Can we just ask if you've had any updates since your last post?
