Issues with GlobalProtect VPN Connection

My work has recently switched IT Providers and they are now using GlobalProtect VPN. I now have connection issues when I’m working from home, the connection drops every 10 mins or so and I lose connection to not only GlobalProtect, but internet, Outlook, etc. If I disconnect GlobalProtect then my connection to the internet and Outlook, etc, comes back, as long as I stay disconnected to GlobalProtect. As soon as I reconnect again the same thing happens, I’ll lose connection around 10 mins or so after I’ve reconnected. I have tried plugging directly into the router but the same issue happens, so it’s not just WiFi. I have no issues when working in the office or other locations, it’s just when at home. All other devices are fine. My IT team have done as much as they can and are now stumped as to what to do next. I just had a Virgin Engineer round for a TIVO box issue and he tested the router while he was here and said all was fine. He doesn’t know what it could be. He said our router is 7 years old (it’s from April 2017), I asked if a new router would help and he doesn’t think so as it’s only a connection issue with GP. I’ve seen some other people have had issues but I can’t see any remedies? Any help would be greatly appreciated if you’ve managed to solve this!!

Open up the VPN app and see if there are some alternative profile settings you can try.  e.g. TCP or UDP.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Thanks for responding. I’ve opened the app but there doesn’t seem to be any other profile settings that I can try?

Then the user options must be limited by GlobalProtect for security reasons. Makes sense on a corporate network.

It does appear they don't like your VM connection, or the whole VM network.   Unfortunately VM don't support VPN use on their residential connections, so they won't help you.  If another user here has experience with GlobalProtect they may be able to assist.  Virgin Business may operate differently - you'd have to check with them - but that would mean a new contract.

Does it do this with hub in modem mode by wire to a PC?

How do I put my hub in modem mode? It does it when wired by Ethernet to the hub…,
