I disabled the 'enable channel optimization' setting to 'disabled' changed the channels to 'manual' and applied changes.
These settings stay for a few Days but then automatically go back to the enable optimization and auto channel selection.
Now this seems ok for every day things on computor etc. along with standard streams but, when watching live streaming it constantly buffers, then goes completely, which means I then have to log back in to the hub wireless settings and change it all again before I can watch a live stream.
Is the constant settings change normal? Or is there something else I can do to keep the optimization and auto channels settings permanantly off. Any help would be appreciated.
Hub3 and there are no pods being used.

I've no idea why they would change apart from VM sending updates to the Hub, or some other management? Check the Network log when it changes to see if there are any entries that might give a clue.
The only other option might be modem mode, or use ethernet cables where possible?

Hello StephenO
Thanks for posting in regards to your Hub and it reverting back to standard settings, we appreciate the confusion as once saved these should remain in place.
One thing to note, for the simplest connection we'd recommend ethernet wherever possible but we understand this isn't always possible. To ensure seamless swapping of bands for devices we'd also recommend keeping the SSID's names and password the same.
We have looked at your connection and equipment and although it doesn't explain the changes reverting, there are some issues regarding the DownStream power levels that will require looking at. I will send you a Private Message to get some more details from you to assist. Check the envelope in the top right of the forum when signed in for the message.

VM think they can fix wifi and make people use a given channel for where they are for less over lap but the truth is it don't work. there is or was a 2.4GHz high load that jumps around channels 1, 6 , 11 and floods the given channel so set to 13
for control over your internet use hub in modem mode and get your own wifi router with 1Gb ports.
