Yeah a nice little loophole you have come across methinks. They are two different companies with two different sets of Ts and Cs. Fill your boots (if VM really is your world...).

Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post. You would be able to take up a new contract with Virgin Media residential after your Virgin Media business contract expires.

Just rang up and the business contract ends on 12th dec, but they say they want 90 days notice to close!
They recommended i put in a complaint and then talk to the team about if i can switch back to the home service and perhaps waive it, since i would be staying with virgin - lets see what happens!

Thanks for coming back to us on this one. The notice period to close your account should be set out in the terms and conditions of your business contract. We only have access to residential accounts via this community so unable to provide any information or help on this.

Yup VM notice is indeed 90 days. One for the loophole hunters to be aware of here.

so far no one has got back to me; i can't say i'm impressed with the business customer service.
