Why is the virgin media website so awful?

The account seems spread across 2 different websites,
The navigation and user experience is just terrible it's basically impossible to find anything and you constantly end up in loops of useless information,
It's horribly slow to load anything,
There's endless errors in the browser console including fonts not loading.
I can see "null" and "$myCase.getCreatedDate()" on pages where the information is obviously not loading properly
It just seems like it's been hacked together and not really thought through.

Forgot to add the my contract page doesn't load a contract - I got virgin media 3 months ago...

"Unfortunately we don't have a digital copy of your current contract.

This may be because your contract dates back to before 2018 or you requested paper. You can read your Terms and Conditions here."

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you back with us. 

I am so sorry that you have faced issues with the site and are experiencing some errors when loading pages. Can I just check does the app version of My Virgin Media work OK for you?

Have you been able to try accessing the web page via an alternative browser at all? If so do the same pages show the same errors?

I seem to just get randomly redirected between the 2 for example in complaints I have fount both what I assume is the more web version and a more app version, there seems to be links between both all over the place which gives an awful experience, The nulls are appearing in I guess the app version and the $myCase.getCreatedDate() is in the web version.

Again the experience is just horrible going round in loops between the "app version" and "web version" each taking forever to load.

It's definitely not a browser issue, happens on different devices browsers, incognito tabs, if you have a virgin media account just click through try to do stuff, it's just terrible

It's not particularly, anything, I was just recently trying to access various things, direct debit date, complaints, bills, see my contract. Try and order a wifi pod that is advertised as so easy to get.
The whole site is just a shambles that is designed to prevent people getting in touch just looping them around between to different websites with different wording and naming for everything.

I'm head of development at my company and if any of my staff created anything even close to this experience I don't think they would last very long...
