I have recently been charged for Netflix through VM even though I do not have an account with Netflix. How is this possible?

I have been in contact with VM and VM basically told me that is was my fault for letting people click into the Netflix app on the stream box and I had to suck it up, this really annoyed me, I said I wanted to cancel the whole thing and VM said I had 12 months left on the contract, I cannot afford the extra £15.99 per month through VM for something VM make it sooooo easy to access, I have never had a Netflix account and never will, so how did Netflix get my details to create an account? VM also said it was a Netflix problem, how can it be a Netflix problem when I don't have an account with them??

I have had Sky and Vodafone and have never had this problem,

Easy money for VM I think,

Please contact me an rectify this problem, as I am getting quite annoyed with this whole situation, it is not a Netflix problem as I do not exist on their servers, I know this because I have already been in contact with them

Thank you for raising this to our attention - so sorry to hear about these issues with Netflix billing. Can you just confirm that yourself, or any member of your household added on the service via your TV equipment?

You can find additional information about Netflix via our services here 👉 Watch Netflix on Virgin TV | Virgin Media
We will need to send you a PM to confirm a few bits of account information to investigate your case further and offer additional support. You can find the PM in the top right corner of the page in your Inbox. 📩 We can then return to this public thread with another update when possible. Thank you for your patience in the meantime!

Wishing you all the best. 🌞

We have not added Netflix service onto our account, as we can't afford it, I don't want Netflix on our tv, its not worth £15 per month, I don't know how Netflix got my details, i have tried logging into Netflix but no avail, tried to reset password, but my email address's are not recognised, so i do not know what to do

Netflix knows about this fraud - happening to many customers.

If you report it as fraud and they continue to bill you, report them to the police and Ofcom.  They are failing in their duty to deal with a security exploit that they facilitate via their website.

If they say it's all down to you to resolve it with Netflix, they are lying. They are the ones that are billing you, even though they then pass the money on to Netflix.  I wouldn't be surprised if they have a deal with Netflix to keep a percentage of the money they are taking.
