Contacting customer services without log in details.

Hello, I'm trying to contact vm customer services. I've been with vm for almost 4 years and have never needed to contact them before. I have either forgotten my log in details to access them online, or I possibly never registered online in the first place; I can't remember, I am getting old ! I can't access them over the phone as a user name and memorable word is needed to get through. I've tried to register/ re register with ' My Virgin Media' today but they won't even accept my email address. I need to speak to someone as I am retired and with the cost of living being so high at the moment, I am struggling financially. Does anyone have any ideas?
