Our landline has not been taking incoming calls since Friday. We can call out. We assumed it was a fault with the handset. Brought new phone yesterday and still the same. Landline is essential as its an emergency line for elderly parents and also vulnerable people within our home. Was on the phone to virgin for nearly an hour yesterday late afternoon and the man couldn't understand the issue. He said someone else was going to call (assume he meant the mobile We was calling from and he knew the house phone was not letting incoming calls through) we waited all night and no one called. People not on our toad but within the local area said they received parcels before Christmas about a landline handover. Should we have received something, we are a different postcode to them but very local.
