Home phone landline not working.

Our home phone hasn’t worked since Friday. Did manage to speak to someone on Saturday. He promised to schedule a callback on Sunday but haven’t heard a thing. System checks keep saying no problem in this area, but then others say there are faults and give various days/times for getting it fixed.  Nothing seems to be getting done.
