Charged for landline usage I did not use

On our wavelength

I just got my bill, and noticed that there is about £29 of usage charges for my land line no. Like canny remember using the landlines, and only no on the usage is my landline no, no other no is there, I was looking to see if can find a list of numbers but can't find them. 

And can't find away off contacting customer service as the message us button doesn't work

Unexplained call charges are a common topic on here.

How does your phone line connect to VM (from a phone socket on the back of the VM hub or via a conventional telephone wall socket)?

For a conventional telephone line, a 'crossed line' is a common explanation (where your line is somehow interconnected to another and you receive charges for the calls of another customer). Also possible on a phone line via the hub but perhaps less common.

You may not be able to see the numbers involved if each call charge is less than 50p.

Inclusive calls which go over 60 mins can also become chargeable.

This happened to me some time ago.  Phantom calls on the phoneline, despite no phone ever being plugged in. This was the time when you had to have a phoneline as part of the TV, BB & Phone package.  I had numerous engineers out, cables changed but the calls still appeared, all random times, and mostly under a couple of seconds in duration.  They still all added up on the bill however !!

In the end I gave up and I cancelled the phone and had to pay the extra few pounds as it was no longer a "triple" package.

hi. thank you for the reply,, exactly the same kept getting cold/scam calls but never relised that they get added onto bill surley this needs to be sorted,  especially if keeps happening

maybe there in no's called below 50p but don't recall making lot of calls as i use my mobile, like i t probably be useful if could see numbers calles below the 50p
