Does anyone know which departement is best to talk to about not losing my virgin.net email. I didn't see the orginal email so only got a 15 day warning today saying that as I wasn't a customer they were removing my account. I am just out of contract but I my current bill is over £100 so as far as I'm concerned I'm using Virgin Media services. I've tried speaking to customer services but I'm not confident that they will sort as they ended up saying my montly price will go up to £180 as I'm not in contract (it was £84 with my discount) I ended up with retentions which couldn't help with the email address

People who are VM broadband customers may be able to associate a virgin.net mailbox with their VM broadband account and continue using the virgin.net mailbox (summarised below) for as long as they continue to be VM broadband customers
https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Concerned-Virgin-Net-eMail-Users/m-p/5575739#M279991
but you need to engage with a VM forum person on here to see what options you have as an individual customer to retain the virgin.net mailbox
A VM forum person should reply here, usually within a few days, to let you know what your options are.
If you decide to leave VM, and cancel your VM broadband, any email addresses which are linked to the broadband account should be deleted 90 days after you leave.

Thanks. Hopefully the forum team will be able to help,
I don't have much faith in most of those on the end of the phone after Virgin still deleted TNT from my package in June even though I had done all I was requested to do and spent hours on the phone trying to make sure they didn't. I had the same response then as I did yesterday let me sell you a new package. I've got an offer to renew but I'm not going to until this is sorted. Keeping my email address is one of the reasons I still stay with Virgin. I've been a customer for 30 years going back to the cable and wireless days but I'm running out of patience to the degree I'm looking at ways of managing with slower broadband until Open Reach upgrade my area.

Hi @Suzb,
Welcome to our community forums and thank you for your first post. Sorry to hear you have received a notification for your mailbox closure. We want to do our best to help. Generally, when we close a cable account, we will close any associated mailboxes. Sometimes the mailbox can operate beyond this time scale until our team manually removes it. There are some rare circumstances where if you have an active account we could recover the account however this is not guaranteed. To best look into this, we have sent you a private message. Please keep an eye out for an envelope at the top right corner of your Forum page. Let me know if you have any issues locating this.
Thanks,
