Outlook email connection issue today

I switched to "New" Outlook on my Windows 10 PC to read my VM blueyonder emails (plus gmail and outlook email accounts) months ago and all working perfectly until today. I have new emails in webmail but they are not appearing in Outlook. In addition when I create a new email in Outlook it will not send and any I try to send from VM webmail do not arrive in Outlook. I have checked all email settings. I tried to manage the blueyonder account in Outlook and selected Repair. Outlook came back with the message Unable to connect to your provider. I have not changed any settings or passwords anywhere. Is this a VM issue or MS?

Thanks for this. No, I haven't made any changes like that or to anything else. I had Outlook mail open last night and it was fine when I turned the PC off. It was not working when I switched on today. I have tried the control panel route and task manager.

Try generating and using an app password to use for the Outlook setup and check your server settings as per info here

at some point in the process you may also be required to provide VM with a third party email address.

No time yesterday but switched on this morning and Outlook is working again - test emails that weren't sent or received have appeared as have new emails from yesterday and today. As I changed nothing I can only asssume it was a connection fault somewhere. Thanks for your helpful advice anyway.
