Old NTLWorld email address not working

Im having accessing my old NTLWORLD.com account which was working fine just 2d ago. Its been a closed account for a number of years but has still been receiving and sending mail.

I have a lot of email i need to recover and at least move to another virgin/O2 account that i have. Is this possible?

    Sorry to hear about the email access issues experienced. We appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums and welcome you to the community. If you're no longer an active customer, email accounts are closed roughly 90 days after the date of the disconnection. Some do slip through or remain working, but the team perform a sweep at times where these may be picked up and closed; this may be why you have had access for the last few years. 

     

    Once the mailbox is closed, there is nothing further we can do to access it. You mentioned you have a VMO2 ID, though, so are you still an active customer just at a different address?

      Yes I am a current virgin media & O2 customer. 
      yes I have a different email address for the virgin/O2 account

        Apologies for any confusion - it's just as you referenced the old NTL world account as being a 'closed account'. If it still an active mailbox, you can find the information you are looking for about setting up port forwarding and mailbox transfer here 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/broadband/manage-email-account and here 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/broadband/manage-email-settings
        I think it's best if we confirm a few details via PM so we can check the mailbox is still active, and then explore which options are available.
