Has she setup her own VMO2ID user account yet? Can she access the mailbox via "My VM" and Webmail? Has she generated a new app password for the Outlook mail client?
Yes. She has her own VM02ID account and a new password etc. She can get her ntlworld e-mails from the VM web page but not delivering to Outlook.
Hi DeeGee7 👋 Welcome back to the community forum! Thanks for posting.
Sorry to hear there's currently some difficulties in your Wife accessing her email account via Outlook.
You can check and update your settings to access 3rd party mail apps via the instructions listed here 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/broadband/manage-email-settings .
We're sadly a bit limited in the support we can provide for 3rd party mail app access, as if webmail 👉 https://virg.in/webmail is working fine, the access issues may be due to issues with the 3rd party mail app itself (which are out of our hands!)
There's a few steps we recommend;
- Generating a new 3rd party apps password,
- Refreshing your setup within the app itself. There's instructions in the link above for manage-email-settings.
- Contact the developers / Support for the app you are using.
Hopefully one of these steps gets it sorted for you! 🤞 If you begin to have access issues via webmail too please let us know, as this indicates an alternative kind of issue that we can investigate and offer help with.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime! 🌞
I can access my ntlworld email account via the Virgin Media website but can't access it through various clients such as Outlook, Gmail or Blue mail. Is there a problem with settings for these client software apps e.g. port settings. This problem started this morning. Can anyone advise?
